HOW TO CULTIVATE MENTAL BALANCE AND WELL-BEING
JAMYANG BUDDHIST CENTRE LEEDS (Dec 12 2015)
How we can find mental balance and well-being through integrating motivational, attentional, cognitive and emotional balances.
What are these four balances? How can we cultivate them? And why are each of them important? And looking at how mental balance and well-being can only be achieved through an integrated approach which takes into account all of these four balances. And how if any one of these is out of balance (ie. missing or dysfunctional) then we severely limit our ability to achieve mental balance and well-being.
This one day workshop is based on the article "Mental Balance and Well-Being (Building Bridges Between Buddhism and Western Psychology)" by Alan Wallace and Shauna Shapiro.
